This document provides complementary or late-breaking 
information to supplement the Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 
Millennium Edition (Windows Me) documentation.

HOW TO USE THIS DOCUMENT
------------------------

To view Netgear.txt onscreen in Notepad, maximize the 
Notepad window.

To print Netgear.txt, open it in Notepad or another word 
processor, click the File menu, and then click Print.



To install the Netgear FA310TX 4.02 drivers located in this directory:

1.  Click Start, click Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2.  Double-click the System icon.
3.  On the Device Manager tab, click the plus sign (+) next to Network Devices.
4.  Double-click the icon for the Netgear FA310TX device.
5.  On the Driver tab,click Update Driver.
6.  Click Specify The location Of The Driver, and then click Next.
7.  Click Display A List Of All Drivers In, and then click Next.
8.  Click Have Disk, and then click Browse.
9.  Browse to <x>:\drivers\net\netgear (where <x>: is your CD-rom drive letter).
10. Click OK twice.
11. Continue and finish the installation. When you restart your computer, the 
    version 4.02 drivers should be installed.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
