Note: You are advised to back up the data in the system and close all open applications. It is also recommended to connect the power cable if it is not a desktop and disconnect all external storage devices. Firmware upgrade through the Windows utility Upgrade Procedure 1. Close all open applications and save your work before the firmware update process. 2. Go to the location where you have downloaded the package. 3. Run Rosewood1D SDM3 FW Utility Windows Ver.exe as administrator. 4. Select your language, and then select OK. 5. Select Next on the welcome screen. 6. The next screen is the License Agreement screen. If you agree, click I accept the terms of the License Agreement and then click Next. 7. You will then come to the screen that asks you to close and save all applications and to back up your data. When you are ready to start the firmware update, check the Begin firmware update procedure, and then click Proceed. 8. Once the firmware download completion message is displayed, click Next > to continue. 9. Click Finish to complete the firmware activation. 10. To confirm the firmware update was successful, open Device manager > open Disk Drives > Select ST500LM030 or ST1000LM035 > click Properties > choose hardware ID under Details and check the firmware version.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
