This file contains additional information and changes about the
various software that was not available at printing time.
56K Connection
==============
This software has been specially cutomised to allow 56K connection
using a-law modulation format used by most countries in the Europe
and Asia (e.g. Singpore etc.). If you are unable to achieve 56K data
connection (depending on the line condition, in most cases, connection
at speed around 44K to 50K is more reasonable), please check up with
your local ISP for details.
Installation of Modem Driver for Windows NT 4.00
================================================
If you are installing the modem as an upgrade to your older modem in the
system. Please remember to remove the old modem device entry from the
Modem icon from the NT's Control Panel and follow the below procedure to
install fr your new 56K Modem device.
If you are installing the modem for the first time, follow the below steps
to get the modem istalled:
1. Under Windows NT's control panel, select "Modem" icon and click on
the <Next> button and the modem wizard will start to check and detect
for the Communication port where the modem was attached. It will then
display "Standard Modem" been detected.
2. Click on the <Change> and foloow by <Have Disk> buttons to install the
"EM3850-U 56K Modem Driver" by typing the path "\A:" in the manufacturer
Driver Disk location in the Wziard.
3. Next, click <OK> to select "EM3850-E 56K Modem" from the screen and to
complete the driver installation follow by clicking on the <Next> and
<finish> buttons. The modem driver is now installed onto the appropriate
comm port and the modem is now ready for operation.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
