Compex LinkPort/UE202-B USB to Fast Ethernet adapter requires the USB port to have 
at least USB specification 1.1 (12Mbps).
It connects the notebook or PC to the standard 10Mbps or 100Mbps speed Ethernet network
and can have a maximum performance of up to 8Mbps.

  HARDWARE SETUP

      This version of Compex LinkPort/UE202-B USB to Fast Ethernet Adapter has a small
      form factor that you can plug directly to the USB port. A USB extender cable is 
      also provided. Both ends of the extender come with A-type connector, one end 
      is a male plug, the other end is a female socket. 
      For desktop PC you will no need to use this extender. However, on some notebooks, 
      you may need to use the USB extender if space is a constraint to plug on the 
      UE202-B adapter to the USB port.

      Next after connecting the adapter to the PC or Notebook, you need to connect a 
      network cable (straight-through, category 5 cable) to the UE202-B RJ-45 socket 
      (i.e. the LAN port) and the other end to a standard ethernet repeater hub or a switch.
      UE202-B Ethernet port can auto-sensing or auto-negotiation automatically 10Mbps or
      100Mbps speed when connected to a Ethernet repeater hub or switch.
      The respectively 10 or 100 LED light light up to indicated the connection speed.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
