NULL Driver for AMD IOV Devices

DESCRIPTION:

This INF file removes the unresolved hardware detection only (YELLOW BANG! associated with devices that do not have the proper driver installed).  There is no driver associated with this INF file.


REQUIREMENTS:

* Motherboard with AMD IOV Device or Base System Peripheral

This driver supports the following OS:

* Microsoft Windows 7 x86 and x64
* Microsoft Windows RedStone x86 & x64
* Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 x64
* Microsoft Windows Server 2016 x64

NOTE:  As with all driver installations, you need to login as Administrator or have administrator rights for your domain login.


INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Right-click on "My Computer" and select "Properties".
2) Select the "Hardware Tab" and click on the "Device Manager" button.
   There should be a section named "Other devices".
3) Under "Other devices", right-click on the “PCI Device”, select "Properties", and click on the “Details” tab. Verify that the “Device Instance Id” begins with one the following:
	“PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5A23”, 
	“PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_1419”, 
        “PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_1577”
	“PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_1423”,
	“PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_1437”,
	“PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_1449”,
	“PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_1611”
        “PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_1451”
   If so, click on the “Driver” tab, and then click on “Update Driver…”
4) Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)", and click "Next".
5) Select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install", and click "Next".
6) Click "Have Disk", "Browse..." to the installation files and click "OK".
7) A box will appear: "The wizard has finished installing the software for the… Device”. Click "Finish" to complete the installation.
 

UNINSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Right click on "My Computer" and select "Properties".
2) Click on the "Hardware" tab, and then click on the "Device Manager" button.
3) Under the "System Devices" section, there should be devices named “AMD IOMMU Device”.  Right-click on it, select "Uninstall", and follow the dialog boxes to complete the "Uninstall" process.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
