Package Contents:
----------------

The package contains Fusion MPT driver binaries that
are compatible with Turbo Linux 6.5 Server, 7.0
Workstation and 7.5 Workstation UP and SMP builds.
These binaries may be used to upgrade a driver without
rebuilding the kernel.

====================================================

Updating /lib/modules:
----------------------
(0) Copy the turbo_bin-<driver version>.tar.gz to the system
installation or to a formatted (VFAT or EXT2) floppy diskette.
For the following, it is assumed that the binaries are placed
    in the /root directory.

(1) Extract the binaries into the turbo_bin-<driver version> directory:
    # cd root
    # tar xzvf turbo_bin-<driver version>.tar.gz
    or
    # gzip -d < /root/turbo_bin-<driver version> .tar.gz | tar xvf -

(2) Update lib/modules
    # cd /
    # tar xzvf /root/turbo_bin-<driver version>/6.5/lib.tar.gz

(3) For some releases, it is necessary to update
    lib/modules/<kernel>/modules.dep. If a depends
exist for your release of TurboLinux, perform
    # cat /root/turbo_bin-<driver version>/6.5/depends/depends-<kernel> /lib/modules/<kernel>/modules.dep
    # cat /root/turbo_bin-<driver version>/6.5/depends/depends-<kernel>smp /lib/modules/<kernel>smp/modules.dep

Installing the Drivers:
-----------------------

The Fusion-MPT drivers may now be installed using
insmod or modprobe, i.e.,

# insmod mptbase
# insmod mptscsih

or

# modprobe mptscsih
