Supported drive interfaces

SATA, USB, and SAS

Tests for and updates or activates firmware (microcode) on Western Digital 
(WD) drives.

Usage:
syntax:
WD7135 [-bn] [<file>] [-?]
where
-bn     Set maximum bytes per command (default=65536)
<file>  Configuration file

-?      This help message

The optional configuration file will specify which on-board controller to 
use to find hard drives that need to be updated. The available configuration 
files:
WD7135.ini      This is the default configuration file. It uses a CSMI 
                interface + ATA passthrough + SCSI passthrough + SCSI to ATA 
                passthrough.
adaptec.ini     An adaptec interface
amcc.ini        AMCC interface (this requires the end user to edit this file
                and uncomment the license agreement).
ata.ini         ATA passthrough
sat.ini         SCSI to ATA passthrough
scsi.ini        SCSI passthrough
storelib.ini    Avago/LSI passthrough

The configuration files can be edited if necessary. Please make a backup of 
the original configuration file before changing them.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

• Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

• If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

• Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

• Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

• Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

• From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

• Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
