ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÙ

  ********************************************************************
  NOTE:-
The "minimum packet receive buffers" must be adjusted to 250
or bigger when loading multiple frames or adapters support.
For single adapter installed, set to at least 200

          Add the statement below in STARTUP.NCF file;

             SET MINIMUM PACKET RECEIVE BUFFERS=250

  *********************************************************************

Below are guidelines for installing the server driver, RL100ANW.LAN,
  in a NetWare 3.11 environment.

  1. In the NetWare v3.11 directory, e.g. C:\SERVER.311
Copy all the files from NW3.11 directory of distribution disk to
the NetWare boot directory in drive C.

                A:> Copy A:\NW3.11\*.* C:\SERVER.311

Run NLM311.EXE to extract the support NLMs file.
            e.g. C:\NWSERVER> NLM311.EXE

  2. From the NetWare boot directory,\SERVER.311, run SERVER to start
     NetWare.
                e.g. C:\SERVER.311> Server.exe <enter>

  3. At the NetWare prompt :, run LOAD INSTALL to add the following
     lines to the AUTOEXEC.NCF file.

*Note:- Mount the SYS: volume if it is not mounted automatically.

                : LOAD INSTALL <Enter>

            select option "Edit AUTOEXEC.NCF file"
            then add the following lines,

                LOAD C:\SERVER.311\PATCHMAN
                LOAD C:\SERVER.311\LSLENH
                LOAD C:\SERVER.311\MSM31X
                LOAD C:\SERVER.311\ETHERTSM
                LOAD C:\SERVER.311\RL100ANW SLOT=n
                BIND IPX RL100ANW NET=<ipx network number>

For more than 1 card or if you load multiple frame types, you may
want to type in the following instead,

                LOAD C:\SERVER.311\RL100ANW SLOT=n NAME=<any short name>

where, n is the slot number and
<any short name> is any short meaningful name e.g. RA1_803

e.g. Show 1 card loads 2 frame types and 1 card load one frame type.
Notice line 1 and 3 need not add the FRAME parameter because by
default Ethernet_802.3 frame type is load.

         LOAD C:\SERVER.311\RL1ANW slot=1 Name=RA1_803
         LOAD C:\SERVER.311\RL1ANW slot=1 Frame=Ethenret_802.2 Name=RA1_802
         LOAD C:\SERVER.311\RL1ANW slot=2 Name=RA2_803
         BIND IPX RA1_803 NET=1234
         BIND IPX RA1_802 NET=1235
         BIND IPx RA2_803 NET=2222

press ESC to save and quit INSTALL.

  4. In Netware Server 3.11, the default "PACKET RECEIVE BUFFERS" is 10
while the PACKET RECEIVE BUFFERS requirement of RL100ANW.LAN is more
than that. For the system to run properly, the following line must
be added in STARTUP.NCF file and restart the server.

"SET MINIMUM PACKET RECEIVE BUFFERS = 150"

  5. When the NetWare server comes up again, Rl100ATX adapter will be
     ready for operation.

Manually loading the NetWare v3.11 server driver
 ------------------------------------------------
  1. At the Netware server prompt, type:

        : LOAD C:\SERVER.311\PATCHMAN
        : LOAD C:\SERVER.311\LSLENH
        : LOAD C:\SERVER.311\MSM31X
        : LOAD C:\SERVER.311\ETHERTSM
        : LOAD C:\SERVER.311\RL100ANW SLOT=n
        : BIND IPX RL100ANW net=<ipx network number>

  2. If there are more than one RL100ATX adapter is detected, there will be
more than one slot numbers listed. Just press Enter key to select the
first slot number. To load for the other card type,
                    Load C:\SERVER.311\RL100ANW
for each card installed and select the next slot number for the card.

  3. Bind IPX to the Compex RL100ATX LAN driver. At the Netware server
     prompt, type:
        :bind ipx to RL100ANW <enter>

  4. After pressing <enter>, the computer prompts you for the Network
number. Enter the desired Network number and the server will be ready
     for operation.

 Using other frame type
 ----------------------
  1. If you want to use other frame type, you can type:
        :load RL100ANW frame=ethernet_802.3
     in the Netware server prompt.

     * The default frame type is ethernet_802.2. This driver supports 4
       frame types, they are ethernet_802.2, ethernet_802.3, ethernet_snap
       and ethernet_ii.

 Driver Options
 --------------
  1. If you want to install two or more adapters, you can type:
        :load RL100ANW SLOT=n

     * where n is the SLOT number. If you do not know the slot number,
just type "load RL100ANW", a list of Slot Number for the adapters
will be displayed, you need to select a desired Slot Number from
       the screen.

  2. If you want to set the FullDuplex Function, you can type,
        :load RL100ANW fullduplex=autodetect(disable or enable)

     * The default value of FullDuplex Function is autodetect.
This adapter can be in half or full duplex mode. In half duplex mode,
the RL100ATX can only either transmit or receive. In full duplex mode,
the RL100ATX can transmit and receive at the same time. The reasonable
values are autodetect (auto detect full duplex function by the driver),
disable(disable full duplex), and enable(enable full duplex).

  3. If you want to set Line Speed, you can type,
        :load RL100ANW linespeed=autodetect(10M or 100M)

     * The default value of Line Speed is autodetect.
This adapter can be operationed in 10M or 100M Mbps. The reasonable
values are autodetect(auto detect line speed by the driver), 10M(set the
Line Speed is 10M) or 100M(set the Line Speed is 100M).
