-- How to clean install:

   I. Update Driver:
   1. "Copy the ZIP file to your HDD. The recommended directory is C:\Driver\Wireless.
   2. Then unzip it with -d option to store the sub-directories.
      ex.)PKUNZIP -d C:\Driver\Wireless\*.ZIP C:\Driver\Wireless.
   3. Right click "My Computer" icon on desktop and select "Properties".
   4. In "Hardware" tab, click "Device Manager" button.
   5. Double click "Other devices" -> "Network controller".
   6. In "Driver" tab, click "Update Driver..." button.
   7. Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" and click "Next>" button.
   8. Select "Include this location in the search:", and click "Browse" button to select Wireless driver path.
   9. Click "Next>" button.
   10. Follow the instruction.
   11. Click "Finish" button, the driver will be installed properly.

   II. Install PROSet:
   1. Run "PROSet.exe" or "PROSet.msi" from path C:\Driver\Wireless\PROSet\ to install PROSet.
   2. Follow installshield process, select "Typical" setup.
   3. After install is finished, PROSet will be effective.

   It is the same as clean install.

-- How to uninstall:

   I. Remove Driver:
   None.

   II. Remove PROSet:
   1. Open "Control Panel" folder.
   2. Invoke "Add or Remove Programs" icon.
   3. Choose "Intel(R) PROSet" item.
   4. Click "Remove" button to remove program.

-- How to check version:

   I. Check Driver:
   1. Right click "My Computer" icon on desktop and select "Properties".
   2. In "Hardware" tab, click "Device Manager" button.
   3. In "Network adapters" item, double click "Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN 7100/2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter".
   4. In "Driver" tab, click "Driver Details..." button.
   5. View "C:\WINDOWS\System32\DRIVERS\w70n51.sys" item with file version.

   II. Check PROSet:
   1. Double click "Intel(R) PROSet" icon.
   2. Click "Help" -> "About" to view version.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
