Download
1. Click "Download File" and follow the remaining prompts to download the file.
2. When the file download window appears, click "Run" to unzip the download package to your hard drive.
3. The file explorer will open pointing to the directory containing the download package. Please take note of the path.

Firmware upgrade through the Windows utility
ATTENTION
1. Backup the SSD (solid-state drive).
2. Switch to AC Power.

Procedure
1. Run the utility to start FW update process.
2. FW utility window pops out, the target SSD is listed, select the target SSD and click "Update". FW upgrade will proceed.
3. After the FW upgrade completes, it will show "Flash finished". Click "OK" and user will be prompted to reboot the system. Please close all open windows and save your data before rebooting the system. Afterwards, click "Yes" to reboot. The system will reboot and load the FW.
4. The FW version can be checked by device manager: open device manager -> SSD -> Properties -> choose hardware ID under "Details" and check the FW version.

Firmware upgrade through the DOS utility
ATTENTION
1. Backup the SSD (solid-state drive).
2. Switch to AC Power.

Procedure via Bootable USB
1. Go to https://rufus.akeo.ie/downloads/ to download Rufus.
2. Insert a at least 4GB USB drive, run Rufus. All the content in the USB will be destroyed, please back up before doing so.
3. In the Rufus interface, select your USB device.
4. Check the "Create a bootable disk using" and change it from "FreeDos" to "ISO Image".
5. Click on the CD rom icon right next to it and browse it to the .iso file in DOS folder of the firmware utility and click "Start".
6. Rufus will prompt a warning message that all the data in the USB drives will be destroyed, click "OK" to proceed or "Cancel" if you had not back up the data inside.
7. You may close Rufus once it shows "Ready".
8. Insert the Bootable USB into the target system, boot the system from USB drive.
9. After the system boots into DOS, user will be prompt to press "Enter". Please press "Enter" to proceed.
10. You'll see warning message which states the risks and reminds user to backup important files before proceeding. Please press "Y" to proceed.
11. The tool will detect the attached SSDs and will prompt whether to update the drive. Please press "Y" to proceed.
12. When the firmware upgrade process completes, please reboot the system. It will boot into Windows afterwards.
13. The FW version can be checked by device manager: open device manager -> SSD -> Properties -> choose hardware ID under "Details" and check the FW version.

Procedure via CD-R
1. Go into the DOS sub-directory.
2. Insert a blank CD-R disc into CD/DVD R/W drive.
3. Burn the ISO image into the CD-R media.
4. Insert the CD-R (with ISO image) into the CD/DVD drive in the target system.
5. Boot the system from the CD/DVD drive.
6. Please select the target drive after the system boots into DOS. The tool will detect the attached SSD.
7. You'll see warning message which states the risks and reminds user to backup important files before proceeding. Please press "Y" to proceed.
8. Firmware upgrade will proceed. When the firmware upgrade process completes, the user will be prompted to reboot the system. Remove the CD-R from your CD/DVD drive and reboot the system. It will boot into Windows afterwards.
9. The FW version can be checked by device manager: open device manager -> SSD -> Properties -> choose hardware ID under "Details" and check the FW version.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
