Download 1. Click Download File and follow the remaining prompts to download the file. 2. When the File Download window appears, click Run to unzip the download package into your hard drive. 3. The file explorer will open pointing to the directory containing the download package. Please take note of the path. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Firmware upgrade through the Windows utility for 1TB Hard Disk Drive ST1000LM035 1. Download and execute Seagate ST1000LM035_ST2000LM007 0D4C3_ZPE.exe. 2. Select Continue and take note of the unzip location. 3. Run Seagate ST1000LM035 0D4C3.exe as administrator if you want to update firmware for 1TB hard disk drive. 4. On the first screen you will select your language, and then select OK. 5. Select Next on the welcome screen. 6. The next screen is a warning screen, please read and select Next if you agree. 7. The next screen is the License Agreement screen. If you agree, click "I agree" and then click Next. 8. You will then come to the screen that asks you to close and save all applications and to back up your data. When you are ready to start the firmware update, please check the "Begin firmware update procedure", and then click Proceed. 9. The system will reboot and load the firmware. Once the firmware update is complete the system will boot up into Windows normally. 10. To confirm the firmware update was successful, open Device manager -> open Disk Drives-> Select ST1000LM035 -> click Properties -> choose hardware ID under Details and check the firmware version. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Firmware upgrade through the Windows utility for 2TB Hard Disk Drive ST2000LM007 1. Download and execute Seagate ST1000LM035_ST2000LM007 0D4C3_ZPE.exe. 2. Select Continue and take note of the unzip location. 3. Run Seagate ST2000LM007 0D4C3.exe as administrator if you want to update firmware for 2TB hard disk drive. 4. Select Next on the welcome screen. 5. The next screen is a warning screen, please read and select Next if you agree. 6. The next screen is the License Agreement screen. If you agree, click "I agree" and then click Next. 7. You will then come to the screen that asks you to close and save all applications and to back up your data. When you are ready to start the firmware update, please check the "Begin firmware update procedure", and then click Proceed. 8. A Seagate Firmware Update Setup window will pop-up to show drive updating firmware status. Once the firmware update is complete, click next to the next window. 9. Window will show Download Complete Status. Click Finish to exit application. 10. Perform system shutdown and power on the system again 11. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
