I. INTRODUCTION
This utility is designed to perform BIOS reflashing to an upper version
for Acer TravelMate 260/220 series.
II. HOW TO CREATE A BOOTABLE DISK

* Don't set the bootable disk as "WRITE PROTECT" state during updating. *
* *

There may be two types of source you will get:
1) a ZIP package file, or
2) a source disk with uncompressed files.
Please follow the steps to create a bootable disk.
Step 1: create a bootable disk.
Step 2: copy the following files to that bootable disk.
* ANSI.SYS
(You can find this file in \windows\command or \windows)
General Syntax:
copy [source path] [destination path]
Example:
copy ansi.sys a:\
Step 3: decompress the ZIP file to this bootable disk if you get a ZIP
package, or copy all the files to the bootable disk if you get
a source disk.
Step 4: insert the bootable disk into your system, then boot.
III. HOW TO USE THE UTILITY

* may be damaged. *

A. After Boot, You will see the wellcome massage like this (BIOS version
may be different):

This utility will update the system BIOS to V3.3 R01-A0H2
Press [1] to continue, [0] to exit.

Don't turn off the power during updating. Otherwise the system
may be damaged.
B. If you are ready to update BIOS, please press "1", otherwise press "0".
If you press "1", the utility will check this system is TravelMate 620
or not. If it is, you will see this massage:

C. After checking, you will see this message, and you need to confirm
to continue the update process:

D. If the BIOS is updated successfully, you will see this massage:

Press Power Button to turn off the power and
restart the system.
E. Press Power Button to turn off the power (not Ctrl+Alt+Del) then
Press Power Button again to turn on the power.
F. You can enter the BIOS setup utility (press F2 key during POST)
to check the new BIOS version.
IV.Error massages:
A. Update process is failed

E. Error in no AC power

shutdown during updating. After connect the AC adapter to
the system, press any key to continue......
F. Error in no Battery

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
