Download 1. Click Download File and follow the remaining prompts to download the file. 2. When the File Download window appears, click Run to unzip the download package into your hard drive. 3. The file explorer will open pointing to the directory containing the download package. Please take note of the path. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Firmware upgrade through the Windows utility Procedure 1. Execute the "FW Update tool" by double clicking, you may see below "User Account Control" window based on your Windows system setting. Please Click "Yes" to continue. 2. Double-click the "FW Update tool" to start the firmware update wizard. Review the License Agreement, If you agree with it, click "I ACCEPT" and then click "Next >". Tips: You can save EULA (End User License Agreement) by clicking "Save EULA as Text". 3. You will see below welcome window. If you want to continue firmware update operation, then, you need to check warning message carefully. Click "Next >" to continue. 4. "SSD selection window" is displayed like below. You can't select SSDs which are not targeted on your "FW Update Tool". (This is just an example for SSD selection. Actual Name may be different on your system.) (This tool is supported update Firmware by each drive and you can't select 2 or more drives) 5. Please Click "Check Box" to select your firmware updates target drive. Click "Next >" to continue. 6. "Before You Begin window" is displayed like below. If you want to continue firmware update operation, you need to confirm these check items respectively by yourself. If you meet requirements, Click "Yes I did" Check Box to proceed your firmware update on your responsibility. Then, Click "Next >" to continue. 7. Firmware update operation starts automatically. You will see below completion message within a few seconds. Please press "Shutdown" button to execute system power down. 8. Due to execute shutdown operation, below warning message will display before actual shutdown operation. If your system has unsaved data, please save unsaved data and close all applications respectively. If your system doesn't start shutdown process automatically, then you need to execute shutdown process manually. New SSD firmware will be applied when you power on your system next time. Here is the end of firmware update operation. If you want to check new firmware revision, please execute above operation from 2) to 6). You can see your current firmware revision on your SSD. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Firmware upgrade through the EFI shell Procedure 1. To run the FW(firmware) update under UEFI mode successfully, please confirm the BIOS setting like as below before update . 1) Set "UEFI" mode 2) Disable "Secure boot" 2. Create UEFI USB drive: 1) Prepare the bootable USB drive (FAT32) 2) Extract Zip file and copy them to the USB root directory Root\EFI\BOOT\ bootx64.EFI \ 5KDA4103.sig \ nvmefwup.efi \ STARTUP.NSH \ U.NSH \ Lisence.txt \ Readme.txt Note: Please acknowledge and agree with the Lisence.txt, and read carefully and comply with the Readme.txt. 3. Power on system and boot up from the UEFI USB drive by selecting Boot Media on your BIOS. 4. You will see UEFI shell screen Note: Please DO NOT press ESC to skip startup.nsh 5. Type "u" command from the keyboard and Press "Enter". Note: "u" stands for "Update". By executing this guh command, you can update FW of your SSD. 6. You will see "Complete FW Update" and updated FW Version of your SSD. Note: When any error occurred, you will see one of error codes and messages listed as below. Please power off your system, try to insert your drive again and return to step 3. Error Code Error Message ---- ------------------------------------- 0001 No NVMe drive detected 0002 NVMe controller initialization error 0003 Memory allocation error 0004 Firmware file open error 0005 Firmware file read error 0006 Firmware image download command error 0007 Firmware activate command error 0008 Firmware version check error 0009 log file failure 0010 NVMe controller shutdown error 7. If you want to continue FW update operation for another drive, please press guh again. 8. Please execute "u" until you see "There is no target device." 9. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
