Update to Kingston CD Anywhere Windows 95 driver                      5/16/96

This new driver supports machines that support ECP but not EPP mode.

 1. Rename the orignal driver:

    C:
    CD \WINDOWS\SYSTEM\IOSUBSYS
    REN CPPIDECD.MPD CPPIDECD.OLD

 2. Copy the new driver (CPPIDECD.MPD 05-16-96 17:00 19456) into:

    COPY A:CPPIDECD.MPD .

 3. Context clicking (right click) the My Computer icon

 4. Select Properties menu item

 5. Select Device Manager tab

 6. Select SCSI controllers

 7. Select Kingston CD Anywhere

 8. Click Properties button

 9. Select the Settings tab

10. In the Adapter settings edit box, enter:

    mode=5

11. Select OK

The system will now ask you to reboot.  The CD-ROM will be available after
the reboot.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
