Driver & Application Installation/Removal Procedure For Avance AC'97 Codec:
============================================================================

Setup Driver/Application at first time:
---------------------------------------

Step 1. Before installing the VIA AC'97 Drivers & Applications, Press the
        [Cancel] button if Windows detect the PCI Multimedia Audio device. 
          
Step 2. Insert the "VIA AC'97 Drivers & Applications" CD into the CD-ROM 
        drive or find above file which located at HD and then run the setup.exe 
        program to finish the installation. 

Step 3. Click on [Next/OK/Go] to continue the procedure. If the Windows popup 
        "Digital Signature Not Found" message, press [Yes] to continue the 
        installation.
        
Step 4. Finally, select to restart the system and press [Finish] to complete
        the installation.  

        The system will reload the drivers and do some adjustments in the INF
        file if so required.

Update Driver/Application:
--------------------------

Step 1. Follow Step 2,3,4 described in [Setup at first time] above to complete
        the procedure.

Regular Driver Installation 
----------------------------

a) Automatic Installation
 
   Decompress the zip folder and type 

	  D:> SETUP.EXE (where D equals the location of the setup file)

   in the run command promopt or double click the setup.exe file. Select "Install". 
   After the system reboots, the driver will be installed completely.

b) Manual Installation

   Under Device Manager, "PCI Audio Multimedia Device" will be displayed if the "VIA 
   AC97 PCI Enhanced) Audio Device" is detected by the PCI enumerator.

   Set the source destination directory to the "\WIN2000", where the "VIA AC97 PCI 
   (Enhanced) Audio Device" installation file for the Win2000, VIAUDIOS.INF,is located.

   After the selection, the "VIA AC97 PCI (Enhanced) Audio Device" will be installed 
   successfully.

Remove Driver/Application:
--------------------------
a) Type 
             D:> SETUP.EXE (where D equals the location of the setup file)

   in the run command prompt or double click the setup.exe file. Select 
   "Remove". After the system reboots,the driver will be removed completely.

OR

b) Remove the "VIA AC97 PCI (Enhanced) Audio Device" from the device manager:

   To completely remove this driver, the relative "OEMx.INF" file under 
   "\WINDOWS\INF" directory should be deleted. At the same time, the driver 
   file under "WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\VIAUDIOS.SYS" should be removed as well.
   The driver will then not be installed again after the second boot.

NOTE: Please note, under Win2000/WinXP, the .cat file can not be installed from
      the setup program (option a). To check the "Digital Signed file" from Micrsoft,
      the driver using option b - through the Device Manager, must be installed.

Silent Installation:

If VIA Audio Driver located at D:\Audio\Filename
1.Open Run "D:\Audio\Filename\setup.exe - s"
2.Press "Enter"

How to check version:
----------------------
Step 1. Right click My Computer on Desktop and select Properties.

Step 2. In Device Manager tab, double click "Sound, video and game controller" with
        "VIA AC'97 Enhance Audio Controller(WDM)" then right-click.

Step 3. In Driver tab, shows driver information.
