< 4. Important Notes >

- If you are using the white ink model of BN-20, the windows driver is unavailable for creating "printdata." Therefore, you cannot print from application softwares (such as Illustrator, CorelDRAW, R-Works, so on) by using windows driver.
Roland VersaWorks is available for printing because it can create "printdata" by itself and output the data to BN-20 through only a port of windows driver.

- This driver does not support [Test Print].

- Even if there are blank sections, in which there is no print data, the printer feeds the sheet by the sheet size length specified by the driver. To prevent wasting sheets, (1) after printing finishes, raise the pinch lever, and then position the sheet so that printing will start at an unused section or (2) set the sheet size length so that it is slightly larger than the print data.

- Specify the line width for cutting lines as follows.
It may not be possible to cut lines of the specified width.

* Program Settings
  Adobe Illustrator CS6/CS5/CS4/CS3	-- 0.001 pt
  CorelDRAW X6/X5/X4/X3 -- Hairline

- When you will output TrueType or OpenType fonts, you should generate 'outlines' of texts to convert them into vector data.

- When you remove the USB removable device (USB flash drive or USB hard disk etc.), you must run [Safely Romove Hardware and Eject Media] or [Eject] before detaching it. If you remove the USB device without it in process of printing, the printing may be aborted.

##### Important Notes When Performing Output from Adobe Illustrator #####

- Illustrator CS6, CS5, CS4 and CS3: You cannot print rectangles with metallic line or fill colors.
gRectanglesh refers to shapes that meet all the following conditions.

	Four anchor points
	Four 90-degree angles
	Rotation angle of 0, 90, 180, or 270 degrees

* These conditions may also apply to the uppercase gih and lowercase gLh characters.

To avoid this problem, select the rectangle, and then click the [Object] menu, [Path], and then [Add Anchor Points]. You can add anchor points to a rectangle without changing the rectangle's shape.
For text, first make the text into an outline, and then add anchor points by following the above procedure.

- When you want to print in metallic color and when you want to perform cutting, clear the [Print As Bitmap] checkbox in the [Print] dialog box.
To display the [Print] dialog box, click [Print] on the [File] menu.

- Set the document's color mode to [RGB]. If you select CMYK mode, the CMYK values will be converted to RGB values when the output is generated.
In this situation, the RGB colors that you used the driver to specify as metallic colors and cutting lines will differ from the RGB colors that are generated by Illustrator, so you will not be able to print metallic colors or perform cuts.

- Please don't cancel printing by operating Illustrator. If you cancel printing, press the BN-20 power button for a few seconds.
When you print from Illustrator to BN-20, the now printing message is displayed. If you click [Cancel] button in the message box, but the printing process is still alive. You cannot operate the Illustrator untill the end of printing process.

##### Important Notes When Performing Output from CorelDRAW #####

- Set the document's color mode to [RGB]. If you select CMYK mode, the CMYK values will be converted to RGB values when the output is generated.
In this situation, the colors that you used the driver to specify as metallic colors and cutting lines will differ from the colors that are generated by CorelDRAW, so you will not be able to print metallic colors or perform cuts.
