To run the FW(firmware) update under UEFI mode successfully, please confirm the BIOS setting like as below before update . 1) Set "UEFI" mode 2) Disable "Secure boot" 2. Create UEFI USB drive: 1) Prepare the bootable USB drive (FAT32) 2) Extract Zip file and copy them to the USB root directory Root\EFI\BOOT\ bootx64.EFI \ 5KDA4103.sig \ nvmefwup.efi \ STARTUP.NSH \ U.NSH \ Lisence.txt \ Readme.txt Note: Please acknowledge and agree with the Lisence.txt, and read carefully and comply with the Readme.txt. 3. Power on system and boot up from the UEFI USB drive by selecting Boot Media on your BIOS. 4. You will see UEFI shell screen Note: Please DO NOT press ESC to skip startup.nsh 5. Type "u" command from the keyboard and Press "Enter". Note: "u" stands for "Update". By executing this guh command, you can update FW of your SSD. 6. You will see "Complete FW Update" and updated FW Version of your SSD. Note: When any error occurred, you will see one of error codes and messages listed as below. Please power off your system, try to insert your drive again and return to step 3. Error Code Error Message ---- ------------------------------------- 0001 No NVMe drive detected 0002 NVMe controller initialization error 0003 Memory allocation error 0004 Firmware file open error 0005 Firmware file read error 0006 Firmware image download command error 0007 Firmware activate command error 0008 Firmware version check error 0009 log file failure 0010 NVMe controller shutdown error 7. If you want to continue FW update operation for another drive, please press guh again. 8. Please execute "u" until you see "There is no target device." 9. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
