USB port Manual ------ The USB X Pad's manual is stored inside this driver disk in HTML format. You need to open it with a browser such as Microsoft Internet Explore or Netscape Navigator. The file "manual.htm" is the cover page of the manual. Installing the Driver --------------------- 1. Start up Windows 98. 2. Plug your joypad into a USB port. 3. Your PC will automatically detect your USB X Pad. 4. Your PC should display a message that it has detected a HID interface device. Click "Next" to continue. 5. Choose the second option, "Display a list of all the device drivers in a specific location". 6. Click "Next" to continue. 7. Click "Have Disk" button. 8. Insert Device disk into drive A. Then click OK. 9. "QuickShot USB X Pad" will be selected, click "Next" to continue. 10. Click "Next" to continue. 11. Click "Finish" to complete. 12. Goto 'Game controllers' in control panel to calibrate your USB X Pad joypad. Calibrate your USB X Pad before playing games ----------------------------------------------- The USB X Pad must be calibrated before playing games. 1. Go to "Game Controllers" in the Control Panel. 2. Click Properties/Calibrate. 3. Follow the instructions for calibration. 4. Go to "Test" tab to test the joypad. 5. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
