EC6_3_ReleaseNotes_P639 for B2360.txt Driver File Contents (B2360_20P639_20Firmware.zip)

READ THIS FIRST!

IF YOU ARE UPGRADING CODE ON A B2360d, PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:

For B2360d only: Due to increased code size of EC6 and memory usage during code updates on code releases earlier than EC 6.0, you will need to load LW50.PRL.P593 before trying to load LW60.PRL.P632 or later code. This code file will be included in the ZIP file along with these release notes. It will be called LW50.PR.P593.pir2Lgr.FDN.PIR.E618.pirXXgre.fls. Once you download this file to your device and it reboots, you can proceed to download EC6.0 code. If you try to load EC 6.0 over code other than the version listed above, it can take 20 to more than 90 minutes to work or it may even fail completely due to an out of memory condition.

B2360d and B2360dn:

Due to changes in EC4.0 and EC5.0, do NOT downgrade firmware from EC 5.0 or later directly to EC 4.0 based code. The code levels would look something like LW40.xx.P440. Basically, anything that conforms to the following pattern: LW40.XX.P4xx. This will cause a non-clearable 900 Service error. You will need to contact the TSC for instructions on how to clear this error.

This includes installing a DLE with EC 4.0 code into a device that currently has EC 5.0 or later code.

Code levels earlier than EC4.0 can be sent to EC5 level devices without causing a service error.

To downgrade EC6 code to an EC4.0 level, you must first load an EC4.1 based code. This would follow the pattern LW41.XX.P4xx. Once the device is at an EC4.1 level, EC4.0 code can be sent.

We do not officially support downgrading firmware. This is the reason we do not support it, even though we go to great efforts to prevent these kinds of events from happening, sometimes it is unavoidable. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
