This document contains installation notes, which is not included in the
DE-660 Ethernet PC Card USER'S GUIDE or onscreen instructions,
for Windows 95/98 users regarding DE-660 Ethernet PC Card installation.

1.0 Installation Notes For Win95 OSR2 and Win98 Users

    Follow the steps to install the DE-660 Ethernet PC Card's driver:

    1. Start your PC, then insert the DE-660 Ethernet
       PC Card into an available PC Card slot in your PC .

    2. After starting Windows 95/98, the DE-660 PC Card will be detected
       automatically, then the Update Device Driver Wizard window appears.

    3. Insert the DE-660 PC Card Installation diskette into drive A.

    4. Click the Next button in the Update Device Driver Wizard window.
       Win95/98 will start to search floppy drive A for network driver,

    5. Click Finish button,
       then the Win95/98 starts to copy the DE-660 PC Card driver to the
       user's hard disk.

    6. Restart your computer.



2.0 Installation Notes For Other Win95 Users

    Follow the steps to install the DE-660 Ethernet PC Card's driver:
    1. Start your PC, then insert the DE-660 Ethernet
       PC Card into an available PC Card slot in your PC .

    2. After starting Windows 95, the DE-660 PC Card will be detected
       automatically and a driver will be required.
       Please select "Have disk from Manufacture".

    3. Insert the DE-660 installation diskette into Drive A.

    4. Type A:\ and click OK button to install DE-660 PC Card driver.

    5. Then follow the onscreen installations to complete Windows 95
       installation process, and restart your computer.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
