1.0   DE-660 PC Card Installation Notes

        1.Assume you have installed D-Link's LANsmart system.

        2.Copy <PATH>\DE660.COM file from released diskette into the
          LANsmart directory containing D-Link's LANsmart system
          and relation files.

          Ex. >COPY A:\NETWARE\CLIENT\ODI.DOS\DE660.COM C:\LANsmart
              >COPY <PATH>\LSL.COM C:\LANsmart
              >COPY <PATH>\IPXODI.COM C:\LANsmart

        3.A typical IPX SHELL over ODI for DOS driver client startup
          batch file includes:

         >LSL
         >DE660
         >IPXODI
         >LOGON xxxx        ; D-Link's LANsmart

        Content of NET.CFG
        ------------------
        Link Driver DE660
              PORT 300
              INT 11
              FRAME ETHERNET_802.3


        Notes: Frame type must use Ethernet_802.3.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
