  Introduction:
  -------------
  This document describes the procedure to install Windows XP 64-Bit driver
  for D-Link DGE-530T Gigabit Ethernet Adapter.

  Location of Windows XP 64-Bit Driver : \WINXP64\DLKRT64.SYS

  Installing driver for Windows XP 64-Bit:
  ----------------------------------------
  Before you start with the installation process, make sure that your
  adapter should be properly installed in your PCI bus slot.
  Executing Windows XP 64-Bit, it will auto-detect your system configuration
  and find the adapter hardware.
  (If Windows XP 64-Bit doesn't prompt that it detects the Ethernet Controller,
  there must be something wrong with the DGE-530T Gigabit Ethernet
  adapter or your system environment.)

  1. The WinXP64 builds-in the driver. If you want to update new driver,
  please choose "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install" of
  "Install from a list or specific location [Advanced]".

  2. Insert the DGE-530T Windows driver disk into drive A and specify
  the setup file pathname A:\WINXP64

  3. The Windows XP 64-Bit will start to copy the drivers into the system.

  4. Windows XP 64-Bit will finish the other installation procedure
  automatically.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
