============================================================ Extended System's ExtendNet Connect for DLC ============================================================ ExtendNet Connect for DLC is a utility that allows simple, direct, DLC printing from your computer to a printer attached to an Extended System's ExtendNet print server. This utility requires that your print servers be configured for the Lan Manager/Lan Server protocol. Note: To install ExtendNet Connect for DLC you must first install the DLC protocol and it's latest update. See the DLC installation steps outlined below. You will need your Windows diskette(s) to complete the protocol installation. Extended System's ExtendNet Connect installation procedure: 1. Install the DLC Protocol and it's updated files as follows: a. Create a temporary folder on your hard disk. b. From the "DLC" subdirectory on the"Windows Network Printing Utilities" diskette copy "msdlc32.exe" and "dlc32upd.exe" to the temporary folder. c. In that folder, double-click "msdlc32.exe" to extract the files. d. Open the Windows "Control Panel". e. Select the "Network" icon, the "Network" dialog will appear. f. From the "Configuration" tab, select the "Add" button, the "Select Network Component Type" dialog will appear. g. Select "Protocol" as the type and then select the "Add" Button, the "Select Network Protocol" dialog will appear. h. Select the "Have Disk" button. The "Install from Disk" dialog will appear. Enter the path of the temporary folder in which you copied and extracted the "msdlc.exe" file. i. Select the "OK" button. The "Select Network Protocol" dialog will appear. j. Select "Microsoft 32-bit DLC" and then select the "OK" button. k. The DLC files will be copied and the DLC protocol added to Windows. l. Select the "OK" button on the "Network" dialog. Windows will now attempt to reload all protocols. You will need to insert your Windows diskette as prompted. m. Respond to the "Do you want to restart your computer now?" prompt with "Yes". n. From the temporary folder created above, double-click "dlc32upd.exe" to update the DLC files. A dialog will appear prompting you to continue with the file update. Select "Yes" to continue. o. The files will be updated and a final window will appear stating the successful completion of the update. Select "OK". p. Now, you must reboot your PC and the DLC protocol will be completely installed. 2. Install the Extended System's ExtendNet Connect for DLC files using "setup.exe" on the "Windows Network Printing Utilities" diskette. 3. To print using ExtendNet Connect you must do the following: a. Select "Settings" from the "Start" menu and open the "Printers" folder. b. Open the desired printer's "Properties" page by right- clicking on the printer. c. From the "Properties" page, select the "Details" or "Ports" tab. Select the "Add Port" button. d. From the "Add Port" dialog, select the "Other" radio button and then select "Extended Systems ExtendNet Connect DLC Monitor" as the type of port to add. e. From the "Add ExtendNet Connect Port" dialog select the ExtendNet print server port to which your printer is connected. f. You are now ready to print!Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
