Please refer to this document when you use the driver. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Limitation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you upgrade from Windows(R) 7 or Windows(R) 8.1 to Windows(R) 10, some features of the installed driver may not work correctly. Please uninstall the driver in Windows(R) 7 or Windows(R) 8.1 before upgrading to Windows(R) 10. The following instructions will help you completely uninstall the printer driver. ******************************************************************************* Case 1: If you installed the driver from the CD or Full Driver & Software Package. (Windows(R) 2000 / Windows(R) XP / Windows Vista(R) / Windows(R) 7) 1. Click Start. 2. Click All Programs (Programs). 3. Search for the RFG program group. It will be named RFG. 4. Choose XXXX (your model name) => Uninstall from the list. NOTE: For Windows Vista(R) and Windows(R) 7 users, when the User Account Control screen appears, click Allow or Yes. 5. The Uninstaller window will appear. For USB cable users, ensure that the machine is powered on and connected to your computer. 6. Click OK. The uninstallation will now continue. Follow the screen directions. You may be prompted to confirm the uninstall procedure. 7. Once the uninstallation is complete, you will see a window stating: For successful uninstallation, you must restart Windows. For USB cable users, disconnect the cable from the machine. 8. Choose "Yes, I want to restart my computer now." and click Finish to restart your computer. (Windows(R) 8 or later) 1. (Windows(R) 8) On the Start screen, click the arrow on the lower left of the screen. If the arrow is not on the Start screen, right-click somewhere on an empty spot (1), and then click, All Apps from the bar (2). (Windows(R) 10) Click Start => All apps => RFG. 2. Click RFG Utilities. 3. Select your model name from the pulldown list. 4. Choose Tools and then click UnInstall. NOTE: When the User Account Control screen appears, click Allow or Yes. ******************************************************************************* Case 2: If you installed the driver using the Add Printer Wizard or Found New Hardware Wizard. NOTE: This procedure requires administrator privileges (admin account or "Run as Administrator"). (Windows(R) 7 or later) 1. Close all applications. 2. Open the "Printers" folder (or "Devices and Printers"). 3. Delete the printer icon corresponding to the driver that is to be uninstalled. 4. Print server properties > "Change Driver Settings" button. 5. Open the Driver tab. 6. Select the driver to be uninstalled. 7. Press the Remove key. 8. Press "Remove driver and driver package". 9. Restart the PC. (Windows(R) Vista/Server 2008) 1. Close all applications. 2. Open the "Printers" folder (or "Printers and Faxes"). 3. Delete the printer icon corresponding to the driver that is to be uninstalled. 4. Right click in the "Printers" folder and select "Run as Administrator". 5. Server Properties > Driver tab. 6. Select the driver to be uninstalled. 8. Press "Remove driver and driver package". 9. Restart the PC. (Windows(R) Server 2003) 1. Close all applications. 2. Open the "Printers" folder (or "Printers and Faxes"). 3. Delete the printer icon corresponding to the driver that is to be uninstalled. 4. File > Server Properties > Driver tab. 5. Select the driver to be uninstalled. 6. Restart the PC.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
