EIE Pro
Firmware Update Instructions (Windows)
Firmware v1.04

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Install the latest EIE Pro drivers from www.akaipro.com/eiepro before updating the firmware.
- Do NOT interrupt the firmware update once it has begun. Doing so may damage your EIE Pro hardware.

To update the firmware, follow these steps:

1. Attach EIE Pro to a free USB port on your computer (one on the rear panel, ideally) and power it on.

2. Open the EIE Pro Control Panel by going to Start Menu > All Programs > AKAI PROFESSIONAL > EIE Pro Panel. At the bottom of the window that appears, ensure the "Status" is "CONNECTED." (If it is not, disconnect EIE Pro from your computer and reconnect it.)

3. Double-click "FWUpdater_Akai_EIE_Pro_v104.exe" to open the updater.

4. Click the "write firmware" button. The update process will begin.

5. After the firmware is verified, when prompted, disconnect EIE Pro from your computer.

6. Reconnect EIE Pro to your computer. A window will appear letting you know the update is successful.

7. Disconnect EIE Pro from your computer and reconnect it one more time. Now, it is ready to use.

To confirm the new firmware is installed, open the EIE Pro Control Panel, as described in Step #2. The firmware version should be 1.0.4(K1).
