    Visit the URL address to download EP-3506 PRO version files that
    includes FIRMWARE code and User's Manual.

< How to upgrade firmware code on my device ? >

  A. Upgrade or re-program EP-3506 from ANY previous firmware versions
     to this latest PRO version:

    1. Use SURECOM's terminal cable (both ends are DB-9 pin, female) to
       connect your PC with EP-3506.
    2. Run "SETUP" for connection with PC's COM1 or "SETUP 2" for
       connection with PC's COM2 in MSDOS system or previous MSDOS system
       in Windows systems.
    3. After successful connection and menu screen shows up, you should
       press both [ALT] and [F] keys simultaneously, then you will see the
       screen display "FullBIOS update FileName ==> IMGPROFF.ROM"
    4. Enter "IMGPROFF.ROM" file name if this file name does not show to
       you automatically and press [Enter] key to start firmware upgrade.
       The latest SETUP program uses the "IMGPROFF.ROM" file name as
       default. You could just press [Enter] key to start your firmware
       upgrade.

  B. Re-program EP-3506 PRO with same firmware version:

    1. Use SURECOM's terminal cable (both ends are DB-9 pin, female) to
       connect your PC with EP-3506.
    2. Run "SETUP" for connection with PC's COM1 or "SETUP 2" for
       connection with PC's COM2 in MSDOS system or previous MSDOS system
       in Windows systems.
    3. After successful connection and menu screen shows up, you should
       press [ F3: Software Upgrade ], then you will see the screen display
       "Software Update FileName ==> NIMGPRO.EXE"
    4. Enter "NIMGPRO.EXE" file name if this file name does not show to
       you automatically and press [Enter] key to start firmware upgrade.
       The latest SETUP program uses the "NIMGPRO.EXE" as default.
       You could just press [Enter] key to start your firmware upgrade.

  After firmware upgraded, only the SETUP.EXE program of this latest
  version could do the test and diagnosis with this firmware version
  correctly.

Note:
    1. After firmware upgraded, only the SETUP.EXE program of this latest
        version could do the test and diagnosis with this firmware version
        correctly.
    2. You MUST use the way of A. to upgrade your firmware from any other
        preious firmware versions.

    1. EP-3506 PRO version User's Manual
       - make sure "CONTENTS" directory and "manual.htm" file on current
         directory.
       - Use browser(NetScape Navigater, MS Internet Explorer, ..) to
         open file "manual.htm".
    2. Email Pack User's Manual
       - make sure "CONTENTS" directory and "um_esvr.htm" file on current
         directory.
       - Use browser(NetScape Navigater, MS Internet Explorer, ..) to
         open file "um_esvr.htm".

< How to enable Email Pack function ? >

    1. You should get KeyCode first which will allow you to enable
       Email-Box Sharing function on Telnet configuration screen.
    2. Enter Telnet configuration screen, select [m] option and remember
       the Series Number.
    3. Run "MAILKEY.EXE" and keyin the Series Number to get the KeyCode.
    4. Enter Telnet configuration screen again, select [m] option and
       enter your KeyCode to enable Email-Box Sharing function.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
