Introduction:

This document describes the procedure to setup the Packet driver for
SURECOM EP-427X 16bit 100/10M Couplerless PCMCIA CARD.

Packet Driver of SURECOM EP-427X 16bit 100/10M Couplerless PCMCIA CARD

usage: EP427XPD [options] <packet_int_no> <int_level> <io_addr>
   -i -- Force driver to report itself as IEEE 802.3 instead of Ethernet II.
   -d -- Delayed initialization.  Used for diskless booting
   -n -- NetWare conversion.  Converts 802.3 packets into 8137 packets
   -w -- Windows hack, obsoleted by winpkt
   -p -- Promiscuous mode disable
   -a -- Auto-Negotiation Mode
   -1 -- Line Speed 10M, Half Duplex Mode
   -2 -- Line Speed 10M, Full Duplex Mode
   -3 -- Line Speed 100M, Half Duplex Mode
   -4 -- Line Speed 100M, Full Duplex Mode
   -u -- Uninstall

NOTE: <packet_int_no> is software vector number this driver uses.
      <int_level> number and the <io_addr> number must be equal to the
      /irq and /iop parameters specified to the card enabler program.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
