2. Driver Installation for Windows NT 4
------------------------------------------------

    The Windows installation floppy or CD is needed to complete this
    installation.

    Adapter Installation Procedure
    --------------------------------------------

    a. Make sure your computer is power-off.

    b. Plug the adapter into one PCI 33MHz slot of your computer.

    c. Turn on the power. 

    Install and/or Update driver from diskette
    ------------------------------------------
    
     The following steps will lead you to install  ...

     a. Click Start->Settings->Control Panel. Double-click Network to start 
	the Network Control Panel Application(NCPA). 

     b. Select "Adapter" tab. Click "Add...".

     c. Click "Have Disk".

     d. Specify the path.
        (A:\ , assume A: is floppy drive)
        (D:\ , assume D: is CD drive) 
        
     e. Choose the adapter.
        EP-320G-TX1/TXL SURECOM 32bit PCI Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (UTP)
        Click "OK" to continue. "Connection Type" dialog display, default
	is "AutoSense". Click "OK" to continue.

     f. Select "Bindings" tab. System will do "Bind to adapter" setting 
	automatically.

     g. Select "Protocols" tab. Select "TCP/IP Protocol". Click "Properties".
	set your IP address by DHCP or specified IP address.

     h. If you select "Obtain an IP address from a DHCP Server", then system 
	will ask you "Do you want to enable DHCP ?" Click "Yes".

     i. Click "Apply". Then Click "OK". Then Click "Close".
	System will ask you to reboot. Click "Yes".

3. Parameter Description
------------------------
   	- Click Start->Settings->Control Panel. Double-click Network to start 
	the Network Control Panel Application(NCPA). Select "Adapter" tab.
	Choose the adapter - EP-320G-TX1/TXL SURECOM 32bit PCI Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (UTP)	
   
        Connection Type      Specify the connection type for the adapter.
                             Default: Auto-Sense

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
