Instructions to install this driver (Windows 10, 7, 8) remember your Windows OS must be 64-bit

1: First unpack this .zip file in a folder on your desktop, so driver files will be there
2: Go to Device Manager (Control Panel) open the tab Display Adapters.
3: Right click the device of the X1700 card (driverless it will be shown like, Basic Display Adapter)
- Select properties on the rightclick.

Click Update Driver in the device window.
Choose the option 'Browse my computer for driver softare' (manually)

In the next window, uncheck the box 'Show compatible hardware'
Choose the option 'Have Disk'.
Select/fill in the folder path that you created in step 1 (containing the driver files)

Now, choose the first entry of the X1700 the dialog will show up.
Click Next and let it install the device driver.

Done!
Reason you must turn off 'show compatible hardware' is that it may otherwise not detect.
Because it was obviously not designed for Windows 10, 7 or 8 but works fine on it.
You will now have this driver working with all functionality and aero.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
