Remove Old Modem Driver to install new one from floppy. 
=========================================================

 Note: If you had ever installed old modem driver before,
       please remove it and install new modem driver from floppy.
       The procedure is as follows:

 1. Click on the [Start] button. Select [Settings] and go to [Control Panel].
 
 2. Double click on the [System] button.
 
 3. Click on the [Device Manager].

 4. Double click on the device [Sound, vedio and game controllers].

 5. If you see the device [Voice Device for Voice Modem], please select it
    and click [Remove] button. Then click [OK] to remove it.

 6. Double click on the device [Modem].
   
 7. If you see the device [Rockwell Voice Modem] or another modem modem,
    please select it and click [Remove] button. Then click [OK] to remove it.

 8. Click on the [Start] button. Select [Programs] and go to 
    [Windows Explorer].
 
 9. Go to [View] and select [Options].

10. Select [Show all files] and click [OK].

11. If you can not see the directory "C:\Windows\Inf\Other", your Windows 95
    is A version. Otherwise, your Windows 95 is B (OSR2) version

    11-1. If in Windows 95 A version: 
          Please go to the directory "C:\Windows\Inf" and delete all the 
          files "Oem*.inf". ( "*" is the number "0","1","2",.... )

    11-2. If in Windows 95 B (OSR2) version:
          Please go to the directory "C:\Windows\Inf\Other" and delete all 
          files.
 
12. Please remove driver CD from CD-ROM drive and restart your computer.
    And see the user manual to install new modem driver from floppy or 
    another location. 
    ( Note: Make sure the driver CD is not in the CD-ROM drive, because the
    driver CD contain the old modem driver )

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
