<What is Multi-Function Station?>

Panasonic Multi-Function Station software enables the unit to carry out the following functions:
- Printing on plain paper, thin and thick paper, labels and envelope (Supported media types depend on the models)
- Displaying the preview of the print image, changing the page order, deleting pages, and changing the print layout etc. before printing (Easy Print Utility)
- Scanning from other applications for Microsoft(R) Windows(R) that support TWAIN scanning and WIA scanning (USB connection only)
- Storing, editing or erasing items in the address book using your computer (Supported models only)
- Programming the features using your computer
- Sending, receiving fax documents using your computer (Fax supported models only)



<Required computer environment>

To use Multi-Function Station on your computer, the following are required:

<Installing Multi-Function Station>

1. Start Windows and exit all other applications.
*  You must be logged in as an administrator in order to install Multi-Function Station.
*  If the unit is connected to the computer before installing Multi-Function Station, the [Driver Software Installation] dialog box will appear. Click [Close] to close it.

2. Insert the supplied CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
*  The [Select Language] dialog box will appear. Select the desired language that you want to use with this software from the list. Click [OK].
   The setup menu will appear. 
*  If the [Select Language] dialog box does not appear: 
   The setup menu will appear. 
*  If the setup menu does not appear: 
   Execute [Install] directly from the CD-ROM.
   The setup menu will appear. 

3. Click [Easy Installation], the setup program starts. Then follow the on-screen instructions. 

4. After the [Connection Type] dialog box appeared, select the connecting option.
USB:
   Connect the unit with the USB cable after the [Connect Device] dialog box appeared.
   *  If the unit is connected to your computer, the model name will be automatically detected.
Network (Network connection models only):
   Select the unit in the LAN from the list.

5. Click [Install].



<Troubleshooting for installation / uninstallation>

Some of the files needed to install or uninstall Multi-Function Station may be corrupted. 
Use the MfsCleaner utility (found on the supplied CD-ROM) to solve the problem.

You must be logged in as an administrator in order to use MfsCleaner.

1. Insert the supplied CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
*  The setup program will start automatically.

2. [Tools] -> [Cleanup Tool]

3. Click [Clean], and then click [Yes] to restart the computer.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
