Changes to Version 2.3 LAN Support Software (95-10-13) --------------------------------------------------------------- - Version 1.14 of the FTP Packet Driver (ETH16I.COM). There was was a bug in the previous version which caused that in certain conditions the received packet was disregarded although it was good. Depending on the network protocol, this caused a drastic decrease in the performance of the driver. - Version 1.08 of the DOS ODI Driver (ETH16I.COM). The driver is implemented according to the HSM 4.0 specification. The driver requires LSL.COM version 2.11 or higher. The new driver is now stored into the subdirectory NETWARE\DOSODI\HSM.40. The new driver is made just because of the new specification, there has been no bugs in version 1.07. For compatibility with the earlier versions of LSL.COM, the old driver version 1.07 is still kept on the driver disk. - Windows 95 NDIS3 Driver now can be found from the subdirectory NDIS3\WIN95 subdirectory. The Real Mode NDIS Driver ETH16I.DOS is found from there, too. Changes to Version 2.2 LAN Support Software (95-01-05) --------------------------------------------------------------- - Version 2.06 of the NDIS2 Drivers (ETH16I.DOS & ETH16I.OS2). The driver has been modified to accept Multiple TransferData calls conditionally. Corrects a Protocol level problem in one case where both TCP/IP (Real Mode) and NetBEUI are installed. The TransferData was called twice, although the driver does not provide this capability (which it also definitely has set in its Characteristics Table). - Version 1.07 of the DOS ODI Driver (ETH16I.COM). The driver now checks that the receive does not exceed the frame length (Some "badly" working protocol might try to read the 4 CRC bytes, but EtherCoupler does not provide these). - Version 1.06 of the OS/2 ODI Driver (ETH16I.SYS). The name ETH16I in Header Segment has been changed to ETH16I$. Makes now possible to access files or subdirectories named ETH16I. - Version 1.06 of the NDIS3 Driver for WfWG 3.11 (ETH16I.386). There was a bug which caused that EtherTeam32 EISA card was not detected in "AUTO" mode. Information for File Manager "Properties" has been added, too. - Version 1.06 of the NDIS3 Driver for Windows NT (ETH16I.SYS). The updated source code (see WfWG3.11 above) was recompiled for NT. - New version of the SCO Unix Driver to support both EtherTeam16i and EtherTeam32 EISA. The version of the new drivers are: ETH16I.DOS Version 2.06 NDIS2 DOS Driver ETH16I.OS2 Version 2.06 NDIS2 OS/2 Driver ETH16I.386 Version 1.06 NDIS3 WfWG 3.11 Driver ETH16I.SYS Version 1.06 NDIS3 NT Driver ETH16I.COM Version 1.07 NetWare DOS ODI Driver ETH16I.SYS Version 1.06 NetWare OS/2 ODI Driver ETH16I.LAN Version 1.06 NetWare 386 ODI Server Driver ?ETH16I.OBJ Version 1.04 NetWare 2.x IPX Server Driver ETH16I.COM Version 11.02 FTP Packet Driver Changes to Version 2.1 LAN Support Software (94-09-16) --------------------------------------------------------------- - Version 2.05 of the NDIS2 Drivers (ETH16I.DOS & ETH16I.OS2). The driver now accepts 8 chars (+$-sign) in "DriverName" in PROTOCOL.INI. The driver no more regards NDIS3 specific key- words "unrecognized". - Version 1.06 of the NetWare 3.x/4.x ODI Server Driver (ETH16I.LAN). Build with the latest Tools provided by Novell. - Version 1.06 of the DOS ODI Driver (ETH16I.COM). Build using the latest MSM and ETHERNET modules provided by Novell. - Version 1.05 of the NDIS3 Driver for Windows NT (ETH16I.SYS). There was a bug in specifying IRQ numbers for EtherTeam32 EISA (IRQ10 if AUTO) or when several adapter instances were installed in Windows NT 3.5. The keyword "Multiprocessor" is removed from registry. - Version 1.05 of the OEMSETUP.INF file for Windows NT. The Help file ETH16I.HLP is now "precopied" from the OEM diskette. - Version 1.05 of the NDIS3 Drivers for WfWG 3.11 (ETH16I.386).
