Plug Accton's EN2230 adapter into one of the CardBus sockets of your notebook. 2. Turn pthe ower ON, then boot from Windows 2000. 3. When Windows 2000 prompts with "PCI Ethernet Controller" in "New Hardware Found" dialog box, click the "Next" button. 4. Select "Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended)" form the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box, then click the "Next" button. 5. Insert the Accton EN2230 Driver Diskette in your floppy drive. 6. Select "Specify a location" and type Path "A:\WIN2000" in the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box, then click the "Next" button. 7. Click the "Next" button in the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box. 8. Windows 2000 will prompt with "Accton EN2230 Fast Ethernet CardBus PC Card" in the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box. 9. Click the "Next" button in the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box, then Windows 2000 will copy the driver (ACC2230.SYS) from A:\WIN2000 to the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory and the NET2230.INF file from A:\WIN2000 to the C:\WINDOWS\INF directory. 10. When Windows prompts with "Accton EN2230 Fast Ethernet CardBus PC Card" in the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box, click the "Finsh" button. 11. Remove the Accton EN2230 Driver Diskette from your floppy drive. 12. Restart your computer to initialize the network function. NOTICE!! C:\WINDOWS is the directory where your Windows 2000 O.S. is located. (B) Configuring the NDIS5 Miniport driver on Microsoft Windows 2000 ==================================================================== 1. Click the "My Computer" icon in the Main Program Group. 2. Click the "Control Panel" icon in the My Computer window. 3. Click the "Network" icon in the Control Panel window. 4. Select the "Accton EN2230 Fast Ethernet CardBus PC Card" item from the "Network" dialog box, then click the "Properties" button. 5. Click the "Advanced" button in the "Accton EN2230 Fast Ethernet CardBus PC Card Properties" dialog box. 6. Select the Line Speed value (Auto,100full,100half,10full,10half) for the "Value" item, then click the OK button in the "Accton EN2230 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter Properties" dialog box. 7. Click the OK button in the "Network" dialog box. 8. Restart your computer to implement the new configuration. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
