Driver installation for Microsoft Windows 98
------------------------------------------------

   1)  Plug Accton's EN2220/EN2225 series adapter into one of the notebook's
       PC Card sockets.

   2)  Windows 98 will prompt with "PCI Ethernet Controller" in the
       "New Hardware Found" dialog box.

   3)  Select "Search for suitable driver for your device (Recommend)"
       from the "Found New Hardware Wizard" dialog box, then click the "Next"
       button.

   4)  Select "Specify a location" from the "Found New Hardware Wizard"
       dialog box, then click the "Next" button.

   5)  Insert the Accton EN2220/EN2225 Driver Disk in the diskette drive.

   6)  Enter the driver's pathname, i.e. A:\WIN98, then click the "OK" button
       in the "Found New Hardware Wizard" dialog box.

   7)  When the "Found New Hardware Wizard" dialog box locates the inf file,
       i.e. A:\WIN98\ACCNDIS.INF, click the "Next" button.

   8)  When Windows 98 prompts with "Accton EN2220/EN2225 CardBus Fast Ethernet
       Adapter" in the "Found New Hardware Wizard" dialog box, click the
       "Finish" button.

   9)  When Windows 98 prompts with the "New Connection" Wizard dialog box,
       click the "Next" button.

  10)  Modify or Add your LAN protocol or LAN Service... with the "LAN
       Wizard" if required, then click the "Next" button to continue.

  11)  Type the name you want for this connection in the "LAN Wizard" dialog 
       box, then click the "Finsh" button.

  12)  Remove the Accton EN2220/EN2225 Driver Disk from your floppy drive.

  13)  Restart your computer to initialize the network function.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
