Accton EN2218 Multi-function PC Card Card Test and Diagnostic Program ACCTEST.EXE is an MS/DOS program that verifies if the basic functions and components of the Accton EN2218 Multi-function PC Card work correctly. Since ACCTEST.EXE accesses hardware directly, you should only run this program in a native MS/DOS environment (with or without the Card Services.) It is not recommended to run this program in a DOS box in the Microsoft Windows or IBM OS/2 environment. Command line options: ACCTEST /? Displays command line options and the supported values for each option. ACCTEST [/Q:x] [/I:yyy] [/C:c] [/S:z] /Q:x : The IRQ number for the Ethernet (LAN) device. x = 2, 3, 4, [5], 9, 10, 11, 12, 15 If not specified, ACCTEST assigns an IRQ number. /I:yyy : The base I/O address for the Ethernet (LAN) device. yyy = [300], 320, 340, 360 If not specified, ACCTEST assigns a free range of I/O addresses. /C:c : The COM port (COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4) for the modem device. c = 1, 2, 3, 4 If not specified, ACCTEST assigns a free COM port. /S:z : PCMCIA Slot No. x = 0, 1... If not specified, ACCTEST detects the slot number. ACCTEST.EXE conducts the following tests: . Configuration Test Verifies if a Accton EN2218 PC Card is in the PCMCIA slot and if the IRQ and I/O resources can be obtained successfully to conduct the subsequent tests. . I/O Test (for the Ethernet function) Verifies if the default Ethernet I/O base address (0x300) or the Ethernet I/O base address specified on the command line works correctly. If this test fails, more than likely it is because the I/O address is occupied by another device. In this case please change the I/O base address by using the /I option on the command line and execute ACCTEST.EXE again. . COM PORT Test Verifies if the default modem COM port (COM3) or the COM port specified on the command line works correctly. If this test fails, more than likely it is because the COM port is occupied by another device in the system. In this case please change the COM port by using the /C option on the command line and execute ACCTEST.EXE again. . PC Card RAM Test Verifies if the RAM (Random Access Memory) component on the PC Card is free of error. . Ethernet Node ID Test Verifies if the Ethernet Node ID is in correct format. . Ethernet Internal Loopback Test Conducts Ethernet internal loopback test. . Ethernet External Loopback Test Conducts Ethernet external loopback test. To pass this test you must connect the PC Card to a Ethernet network. Usually this means you must connect the card to a Ethernet Hub with a TP (twisted pair) cable. . Interrupt Test Verifies if the default Ethernet Interrupt (IRQ) value (5) or the IRQ value specified on the command line works correctly. If this test fails, more than likely it is because the IRQ is occupied by another device in the system. In this case please change the IRQ value by using the /Q option on the command line and execute ACCTEST.EXE again. . Network Function Test Broadcasts traffic on the Ethernet network to verify if the PC Card can send network data correctly with the specified IRQ and I/O values. The number of packets transmitted is displayed in the "Tx Count" field. To conduct this test you must connect the PC Card to a Ethernet network. Usually this means you must connect the card to a Ethernet Hub with a TP (twisted pair) cable. You can use the F2 key to start or to stop the test. To verify the network receive function, you can execute the Network Function Test on a second notebook computer on the same network. When ACCTEST.EXE receives the network packets broadcast by the second notebook, the number of packets received in displayed in the "Rx Count" field on the screen.Download Driver Pack
