| INTRODUCTION  |
 ---------------
The installation for Compex iWavePort WLU11A adapter in Windows 98/98SE is menu
driven through Windows interface. 

Refer to Microsoft Windows 98 manuals for further details.

A) WINDOWS 98/98SE Installation
 
   INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:

  Most system comes with pre-installed Windows 98.
  This installation steps assumed your PC has Windows pre-installed.

  1) If your PC or notebook is already started up, plug the USB cable of 
     iWavePort/WLU11A USB adapter into the USB port of your PC or notebook. 
   
    
  2) When Windows 'Add Hardware Wizard' will automatically detect and found 
     the new USB device and display the message,

                    " USB Device"

     Insert the iWavePort/WLU11A driver CD disk in CD-ROM drive and click NEXT

  3) The Add New Hareware Wizard screen display the following:

         What would you like to do ?
        _/ - Automatic search for a better driver (Recommended)
         o - Specific the location on the drive (Advanced)

      Recommended to select the automatic search option. To continue click Next button. 
                    
  4) Windows then let you mark on one or more of the following

         o - Floppy Disk Drive
         o - CR-ROM
        _/ - Specifiy a location

      Check the "Specifiy a location" option and click NEXT,
      Then enter the drive letter of the CD-ROM drive.
      e.g. if CD-ROM drive etter is D, then type, D:\ 


     * Hint:- If you have not inserted the driver disk after you click NEXT,
              insert the WLU11A driver disk and click BACK button to back
              step once then click NEXT button again to read the disk.

   5) Windows will display the following;

	       "Compex iWavePort WLU11A "      
              
        Click NEXT, to start copy the driver.

   6) Windows will contiune to copy all related files from Windows 98
      CDROM.When completed, Windows will again prompt to restart the machine.
       Click YES.

   7) When Windows restarted, Compex iWavePort/WLU11A USB wireless adapater is ready
      to access the network.
                

B) Uninstall Compex iWavePort/WLU11A USB Windows 98 drivers
   ------------------------------------------------------
  The uninstall process has 2 steps.
  
   1)Remove Compex iWavePort/WLU11A USB adapter device from the Windows registry.
     From Control Panel, double-click on Network icon, select Device Manager
     for a listing of the configured devices.
     Click on Network from the device tree listing.
     Select item, Compex iWavePort WLU11A wireless adapter.
     Then click Remove to delete it. Click OK to confirm.

   2)Next remove the driver and installation files from Windows directories.
     Insert Compex iWavePort/WLU11A USB driver disk in drive A.
     Run UN98WLUA.BAT will remove the files.
     e.g.,
            A:\UN98WLUA  


  Uninstalling of the adpater is now completed.

How To Update Drivers Manually
