 1) NetWare DOS (ODI) Workstation Driver
    RL100TX.COM
	
    This ODI driver is for DOS workstations when using
    Novell ODI driver stack, mandatory for NetWare Lite,
    and optional for NetWare v3.1x and v4.x.
     
 2) NET.CFG

    This is a sample configuration file for DOS ODI workstation
    driver.
     
 3) RL100TX.INS

    This file contains the information to be used by the
    NetWare Client INSTALL utility for installing the DOS
    ODI workstation driver.

 1) ODI Workstation in NetWare v3.1x environment
    ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ

     a) Make a directory in your hard disk, e.g. C:\NWCLIENT. Copy
        the DOS ODI workstation files into this directory.

     b) Copy the DOS ODI driver, RL100TX.COM, and the NET.CFG from
        the driver diskette into this directory.

     d) To login to the server, run
          LSL
          RL100TX
          IPXODI
          NETX


 2) ODI Workstation in NetWare v4.xx and IntraNetWare environment
    ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ

     Auto installation
     -----------------
     In a NetWare v4.xx environment, you execute NetWare v4.xx and 
     IntraNetWare Client INSTALL.EXE utility to install DOS Requester 
     and generate the NET.CFG and update the CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT 
     files. 

     The INSTALL.EXE utility makes use of the INS file,
     RL100TX.INS, to prompt for configuration parameters that will
     be copied into the NET.CFG.  

     Manual installation
     -------------------
     You may also manually execute the following steps:

     a) Make a directory in your hard disk, e.g. C:\NWCLIENT. Copy
        the DOS Requester files into this directory.

     b) Copy the DOS ODI driver and the NET.CFG file from the
        driver diskette into this directory.

     d) Your NET.CFG file may look like this:
          
          LINK DRIVER RL100TX
               
          NetWare DOS Requester
               First Network Drive = F

     e) Create a batch file, Startup.bat in NWCLIENT directory and add 
        the following:-
                LSL
                RL100TX
                IPXODI
                VLM or NETX
                F:
                Login

     f) Edit your Config.sys file and add the following:-
         If you are running VLM.EXE, add the statement LASTDRIVE=Z
      OR
         If you are running NETX.EXE, add the staement LASTDRIVE=E

     g) In your AUTOEXEC.BAT add the statements;

                      Path=C:\NWCLIENT;%path%
                      SET NWLANGUAGE=ENGLISH
                      @CALL STARTNET

     h) Reboot your workstation.


 Installation for other network softwares.
 ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ

  NetWare Lite v1.x environment  (also support Personal NetWare)
  ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ

     a) Follow the standard installation procedure detailed in
        your NetWare Lite manual.

     b) When prompted to select the "Network Interface Card
        Name," select the option "*OTHER CARDS."

     c) Insert the driver diskette, and press <ESCAPE>.

     d) Select RL100TX.COM from the menu.

     e) Re-insert the NetWare Lite Install diskette and
        complete the installation.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
