| INTRODUCTION |
---------------
The installation WavePort/WL11 driver for Windows Me is menu driven
through the Windows Me interface. The directory structure provided on the
driver diskette has been setup for automatic installation. The file
"NETVUSBA.INF" is the setup file in the root directory used by Windows Me.
Follow the guidelines in the Microsoft Windows Me manuals for more details.
How to install Compex WavePort/WL11 11Mbit Wireless LAN Adapter
for Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me)

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:
Most system comes with pre-installed Windows Me. This installation steps
assumed your PC has Windows Me pre-installed.
NOTE: During the installation process, some files might need to
be copied from the Windows Me CD. Please have it ready in the CDROM
drive.
1) If your PC or notebook is already started up, plug the USB cable of
WavePort/WLU11 USB adapter into the USB port of your PC or notebook.
2) When Windows 'Add Hardware Wizard' will automatically detect and found
the new USB device and display the message,
" USB Device"
Insert the WavePort/WLU11 driver disk in floppy drive A and click NEXT button.
3) The Add New Hareware Wizard screen display the following:
What would you like to do ?
_/ - Automatic search for a better driver (Recommended)
o - Specific the location on the drive (Advanced)
Recommended to select the automatic search option. To continue click Next button.
4) Windows then let you mark on one or more of the following
_/ - Floppy Disk Drive
o - CR-ROM
o - Specifiy a location
Check the "Floppy Disk Drive" option and click NEXT,
* Hint:- If you have not inserted the driver disk after you click NEXT,
insert the WLU11 driver disk and click BACK button to back
step once then click NEXT button again to read the disk.
5) Windows will display the following;
"Compex WavePort/WLU11 11Mbps USB Wireless LAN Adapter"
Click NEXT, to start copy the driver.
6) Windows will contiune to copy all related files from Windows 98
CDROM.When completed, Windows will again prompt to restart the machine.
Click YES.
7) When Windows restarted, Compex WarePort/WLU11 USB wireless adapater is ready
to access the network.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
