readme.txt Driver File Contents (IC100_Workaround.zip)

I should mention that on my other system I used the Driver that came with my cam on the CD and it worked fine. Having bought this cam way back around X-mas I would like to think that Micro-Innovations would have a driver update that acually works by now.
I dont quite understand the nitty gritties of what I did or how i made it work but it seems that the camera is looking for the wrong driver. So I took that other driver and renamed SPCA561.sys file to SPCA508A.sys and it seemed to work...so far.

first off DONT install the software or if you have, uninstall it first.

plug in cam

When windows find the new device go through driver update (device manager) and/or "install from a specific location then go "don't search i will choose the driver to install" click "have disk" then point toward this folder it will see the XPWia.inf and then hit open et, voila.

im not resposible for anything that might go wrong with any of your stuff, if this doesnt work for you figure something else out.
If it does work im glad to have helped, and hope you feel a little less ripped off.
