INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Setup driver at first time (using Setup.exe)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1. Before installing the SUNIX Multi-I/O Controller Driver, press the
        [Cancel] button if Windows detect the new device.

Step 2.	Insert "SUNIX Driver" CD into the CD-ROM drive and run Setup.exe.

Step 3. Click [Next/OK] to continue the procedure.

Step 4. Press [Finish] and reboot your system to complete the installation.

Update driver (using Setup.exe)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1. Follow Step 2-4 described in [Setup driver at first time (using Setup.exe)]
        above to complete the procedure.

Remove driver (using Setup.exe)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1. Go to "Start\Settings\Control Panel" and select [Add/Remove Programs]
        (or [Programs and Features]) icon.

Step 2. Select "SUNIX Multi-IO Controller" and press [Remove] button.

Step 3. Click on [Next/OK] to continue the procedure.

Step 4. Press [Finish] complete the uninstallation.

Step 5. Shutdown the system and remove hardware device to fully remove driver.

Silent installation

Run "Setup.exe /s /f2<path\logfile name>"
i.e. Setup.exe /s /f2c:\logfiledir\logfile.log

Run "Setup.exe /s /uninst /f2<path\logfile name>"
i.e. Setup.exe /s /uninst /f2c:\logfiledir\logfile.log

Setup driver at first time (using INF file)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1. When "Found New Hardware Wizard" dialog appears, select "No, Not this
         time" and press Next.

Step 2.	Select "Install from a list or specify location (Advanced)" and press
         Next.

Step 3. Check "Search include this location", press Browse to the SUNIX
         Multi-I/O Controller Driver files location, and press Next.

Step 4. If "Hardware Installation" dialog appears, press Continue.

Step 5. Repeat Step 3 and Step 4 until no any other dialog appear.

Step 6. Press [Finish] and reboot your system to complete the installation.

Update driver (using INF file)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1. Open device manager, right click target SUNIX Multi-I/O Controller
         device and press "Update device driver".

Step 2. Follow Step 2-4 described in [Setup driver at first time (using INF file)]
         above.

Step 3. Right click target SUNIX serial/parallel port device and press
         "Update device driver".

Step 4. Follow Step 2-4 described in [Setup driver at first time (using INF file)]
         above.

Step 5. Repeat Step 3-4 to update each serial/parallel port device drivers.

Step 6. Reboot your system to complete the procedure.

Remove driver (using INF file)

WARNING : NEVER USING THIS METHOD IF YOU HAVE USE SETUP.EXE TO INSTALL DRIVER!
           IT WILL MAKE DRIVER UNINSTALLING UNCLEANLY AND MAKE SYSTEM FAIL!

WARNING : THIS METHOD CANNOT FULLY REMOVE DRIVER FILES IN XP, 2003, AND 2000.
           DRIVER FILES ARE STILL IN THE SPECIFIC LOCATIONS.

Step 1. Open device manager, find SUNIX COM/LPT Port and select it.

Step 2. Delete this device and press OK. In Vista or later OS, check "Delete
         the driver software for this device" in the last SUNIX COM/LPT port.

Step 3. Repeat Step 2 to delete all SUNIX COM/LPT Ports.

Step 4. Find SUNIX Multi-I/O Controller and select it.

Step 5. Delete this device and press OK. In Vista or later OS, check "Delete
         the driver software for this device" in the last SUNIX Multi-I/O Controller.

Step 6. Repeat Step 4-5 to delete all SUNIX Multi-I/O Controllers.

Step 7. Shutdown the system and remove hardware device to fully remove driver.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
