How to use K56Flex to V.90 Update Wizard
Before you run the Wizard (K56flex-to-V.90 Update Wizard, v90wiz.exe),
you have to be very careful otherwise you will damage your modem
firmware. Read carefully the instructions shown on the screen.
1. Run K56flex-to-V.90 Update Wizard (wizv90.exe)
2. The Wizard will make a fail-safe backup of your current firmware,
click "Next".
3. To make sure the modem is not in use by another program, click "Next".
4. The wizard will check your modem, click "Next" to continue.
5. The wizard will make a fail-safe backup copy of your current firmware.
Click "Next" to backup your firmware. That will take several minutes,
click "OK".
6. Choose V.90 (ITU standard) firmware. Click "Next"
7. Click "Next" to update the firmware.
8. A warning message will tell you that the operations can not be stopped.
Click "OK".
9. Another warning message will be displayed, and you may see a decrease
in connection speed or experience slower Internet access. click "Yes".
10. To begin upgrade, click "OK".
11. Finally, you have upgraded your firmware. Click "Finish".
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
