              Fast Ethernet PCCard NDIS2 Drivers
          Installation for Windows for Workgroups 3.11
        ================================================

The NDIS2 driver and the setup information file for Windows for Workgroups 3.11
are located in subdirectory \WFW311.

DRIVER LOCATION : \WFW311\PCMFAST.DOS
                  \WFW311\OEMSETUP.INF

Using the OEMSETUP.INF file, you can select the Fast Ethernet PCCard to be
installed through the Windows dialog box menus.

If you are installing Windows for Workgroups for the first time, we
advise you to run the SETUP program with /I option (ignore hardware
detection):SETUP/I.  If you don't use the /I option, the computer may
hang during installation.  If this happens, reboot the machine, and
run the SETUP program again.

Please also refer to the \NDIS.DOS\README.TXT file for the optional keywords
defined for PCMFAST.DOS and to be specified in PROTOCOL.INI.


Installation procedure:
-------------------------

If you are first time installing WFW, when asked for the "Install New
Network Adapter" menu, please go to following step 2 and answer
questions.  If you have already installed WFW, you can go to the
"Network => Network Setup" menu and answer the following questions.

1. Push <Drivers...> button in [Network Setup] window.
   Then push <Add Adapter...> button.

2. When asked for a network adapter to install, Select "Unlisted or
   Updated Network Adapter".

3. Insert this diskette into drive "A".

4. When asked for the path of UPDATED OR VENDOR-PROVIDED NETWORK
   DRIVER file, Type

     A:\WFW311

5. Select the "Fast Ethernet PCCard" choice.

6. Push <Setup> button to configure the adapter.
   You need to specify IRQ and I/O settings, which must not be conflict
   with other devices.

7. Select "OK" button to complete "Setup" window.
   Then Select "Close" to finish "Drivers" window.

8. Now, the network adapter and driver have been added into your Windows.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
