              Fast Ethernet PCCard NDIS2 Drivers
                Installation for LANtastic 6.0
        ================================================

In this driver release, the NDIS2 drivers are provided for the
Lantastic 6.0 installation.

The NDIS2 driver, PCMFAST.DOS, is located in subdirectory \NDIS.DOS
And it's used for Lantastic for DOS and Windows installation.

DRIVER LOCATION : \NDIS.DOS\PCMFAST.DOS

The information covers the following two topics:

* Installing NDIS2 driver for Lantastic 6.0 for Windows 3.1x
* Installing NDIS2 driver for Lantastic 6.0 for DOS

Please also refer to the \NDIS.DOS\README.TXT file for the optional keywords
defined for PCMFAST.DOS and to be specified in PROTOCOL.INI.

For Widnows 3.1x installation :
-------------------------------

1. Insert Lantastic INSTALL diskette in drive A:. Then type INSTALL from your
   drive A:.

2. Follow the on-screen installation procedures until you reach the
   "Select network adapter" screen.

3. Select "NDIS Support for Network Adapters" and press "OK" button.

4. You will be prompted for entering driver directory on the "Enter NDIS
   driver directory" screen. Remove the Lantastic diskette from drive A:
   and insert the adapter driver diskette. Type

                A:\NDIS.DOS

5. The system will copy the necessary driver files from the driver diskette
   into your Lantastic system directory.

6. Complete the rest of the installation.


For DOS installation :
----------------------

1. Insert Lantastic INSTALL diskette in drive A:. Then type INSTALL from your
   drive A:.

2. Follow the on-screen installation procedures until you reach the
   the network adapter installation screen.

3. Select "NDIS Support for Network Adapters" and press <Enter> key.

4. You will be prompted for entering driver directory on the "Install the NDIS
   driver for your Network Adapter" screen. Remove the Lantastic diskette from
   drive A: and insert the adapter driver diskette. Type

   -------->    A:\NDIS.DOS

5. The system will copy the necessary driver files from the driver diskette
   into your Lantastic system directory.

6. Complete the rest of the installation.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
