1. Introduction ---------------------------------------------------------------

This application is a trial version of PosterArtist, a poster design
application for Canon large-format printers.
The trial version is subject to the following restrictions.
- It may be used for a period of 30 days only.
- When printing, only "Test Print" is available, which produces A4 or
Letter-sized documents. Regular printing is not enabled.
- Saving created posters is disabled.
- Only templates, photos, and clipart in the Trial category are available for
use in posters. However, all photos frames, text graphics, and backgrounds
  are available.
- Because no fonts are installed by the trial version, the appearance of the
templates may be somewhat different from the full version of PosterArtist.
In addition, some thumbnails and poster previews may look different.
- Only low-resolution graphics are included in the trial version.
For this reason, the print quality of posters with graphics from the trial
version is lower than that of posters from the full version.
- Some other functions are also disabled in the trial version.

Full instructions for using PosterArtist are described in on-line Help.
On-line Help can be accessed from the PosterArtist Help menu.

3. Cautions, Limitations and Restrictions --------------------------------------

Usage of PosterArtist software, and printing on the printer has the following
limitations.
Please be aware of these limitations prior to use.

- You must log into Windows as an Administrator before the installation.

- Please check the following points before installing this software.
1. Shut down all other open applications.
2. If a document is currently being printed out, then wait until printing ends
   or quit that application.
3. Check that the printer drivers required by the above printers have been
   installed.
4. The trial version cannot be installed if the full version of PosterArtist
   is already installed.

- You must uninstall this trial version before installing the full version of
  PosterArtist.

- This trial version will cease to function 30 days after installation.
We recommend uninstalling it at that point.

- This trial version cannot be started on a computer where the full version of
  PosterArtist is already installed.

- Color combinations for Clipart, Photo Frames and Text Graphics are
already set. If a color cannot be changed, then the control for changing
  that color has been disabled.

- Changing the size of Clipart using the vertical or horizontal scaling might
sometimes cause deformation in a localized portion of that Clipart.

- In some cases, fonts may not appear as expected if you make text italic.

- Some fonts may be truncated and the layout may be shifted for vertical text.
(for example, in the case of DynaFont of DFG)

- In certain cases, depending on the selected font type, text may display
  outside the text box.

- In certain cases, depending on the selected font, outlined text may not
  display correctly.

- When inserting double-byte characters into the text object that was created
on a poster with single-byte characters, the variable data print may not
display as expected. If this is the case, change the font type to one that
  will correctly display the text.

- If an installer for other software is running when you delete artwork on the
Artwork Manager screen, the artwork may not be deleted correctly.
Thus, before deleting artwork, make sure no installers for other
  applications are running.

- Artwork can be copied from the [Artwork Manager] dialog box, however,
copies of artwork with a key icon cannot be deleted,
  because they are protected.

- CMYK images cannot be retouched.

- With Design Assist, a generated Design may include multiple copies of the
same Design depending on the selected area and the specified image.

- Unicode supplementary characters (surrogate pairs) are not supported.
When a Unicode supplementary character is entered, a "?" is displayed.

- In a 64-bit version OS environment, some functions are unavailable.

- You can not run this application with the user accounts which belong to the
Guests group or Domain Guests group.

- You can not run this application with the user account of the Mandatory user
  profile.
