This document explains the installation procedure of the YAMAHA SW1000XG MME drivers. <Overview> The downloaded file is a complete file set containing Windows MME driver files. Version number "2.4.0" means file set version and do not correspond to each file version. If you use with Steinberg CubaseVST, you should better use SW1000XG ASIO driver 2.4.0. ---------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: This driver set is only for SW1000XG. Update of the Windows MME drivers Update the Windows MME drivers in [control panel]\[System]\ [Device Manager]\[Sound, video, and game controllers]\ [Yamaha SW1000XG Sound System]\[Property]\[Driver]\[Update Driver]. Follow the "Update Device Driver Wizard" and select the driver file "vswxgdsp.vxd" located on your computer. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
