Driver Installation for UnixWare 7.1.X --------------------------------------------------- Before you start with the installation process, make sure that UnixWare system is properly installed and your adapter is properly installed in your machine. A. Insert driver diskette in floppy drive A, and use 'scoadmin' utility to mount your floppy drive. B. Copy the driver package file to UnixWare. e.g "cp ipg.pkg /tmp" C. Run 'pkgadd' utility to add the driver software to system. e.g "pkgadd -d /tmp/ipg.pkg" => Select "1 ipg" to add the driver package to the system. D. Use 'scoadmin' utility to add an adapter. # scoadmin (UnixWare 7.1.1) Select "Networking" -> "Network Configuration Manager" -> "Hardware" -> "Add New Lan Adapter" -> Choose "ASUS Gigabit Network Adapter - PCI Slot ...", then add protocol(TCP/IP) to the adapter. # netcfg (UnixWare 7.1.3) "Network Configuration Manager" -> "HardWare" -> "Add New Lan Adapter" -> "ASUS NX1101 Gigabit Network Adapter - PCI Slot ..." After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
