Driver Installation for SCO OpenServer Version 5 --------------------------------------------------- This document explains how to install ASUS NX1101 Gigabit Network Adapter in SCO OpenServer Version 5 syetem. This follows the procedures in "Installing and Managing software components"[custom(ADM)] and "Configuring network connections"[netconfig(ADM)] in SCO OpenServer Handbook. A. Server Requirements: A PC with SCO OpenServer Version 5 and ASUS NX1101 Gigabit Network Adapter. We need ASUS NX1101 Gigabit Network Adapter SCO OpenServer 5 MDI Network Driver "ipgsco5.vol". B. Install ASUS NX1101 Gigabit Network Adapter with SCO OpenServer 5 Driver software component:[custom(ADM)] B.1 Copy our "ipgsco5.vol" to SCO5 system "/tmp" from floppy. e.g [doscp a:ipgsco5.vol /tmp] B.2 Rename "ipgsco5.vol" to "VOL.000.000". e.g [cp ipgsco5.vol VOL.000.000] B.3 Run "custom" will show "Software Management(custom) on machine1", where 'machine1' is your SCO5 system's name. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
