    Welcome  to  ACCTON and thank you  for  purchasing  our
    product.

    You have just opened the RELEASE.TXT  file.   It contains
    information on the organization of the ACCTON EtherPocket
    HardWare Driver Disk.

    The ACCTON EtherPocket Hardware Driver Disk included in
    the  product  package   contains  the  all  the  driver
    installation programs supported by your adapter.  It is
    divided into different  subdirectories.  Each directory
    includes  a  driver  program  and  a  README.TXT file that
    contains instructions on how to install the driver.

    The  following  summarizes the contents of  the  ACCTON
    EtherPocket Hardware Driver Disk:

    \DIAG          Contains ACCTEST program for hardware diagnostic

    \MSLANMAN.DOS  Contains  ACCTON EtherPocket DOS NDIS driver

    \MSLANMAN.OS2  Contains  ACCTON EtherPocket OS2 NDIS driver

    \WFW310        Contains  ACCTON EtherPocket NDIS 2.0 driver
		   for Windows for Workgroups 3.1

    \WFW311        Contains  ACCTON EtherPocket NDIS 2.0 driver
		   for Windows for Workgroups 3.11

    \NDIS          Installing NDIS drivers for the following programs:
			      . Microsoft LAN Manager
			      . IBM LAN Server
			      . Banyan VINES
			      . Wollongong Pathway Access
			      . DEC PATHWORKS
			      . SUN PC-NFS

    \DOS           Contains Novell DOS/ODI driver, it is used when user
		   install NetWare 4.0 workstation driver.

    \NETWARE       Contains  Novell  SFT  Netware, Advanced NetWare
		   Shell drivers. Subdirectories included are:

		   \DOSODI Contains Netware DOS ODI driver

		   \IPX    Contains Netware IPX driver

    \PKTDRV        Contains Packet driver program compatible with
		   the  FTP  packet  driver  specification.  This
		   driver will allow you to run FTP TCP/IP(PC210)
		   and FTP Interdriver (PC210 plus).

    \PCNFS         Contains the ACCTON PC-NFS interface driver.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
