The driver (SS1020N5.SYS) contained in the root is for the following
Siemens Ethernet adapter:
Siemens SpeedStream PCI 10/100
The driver (SS1020N5.SYS) conforms to the Network Driver Interface
Specification NDIS/5, and is used with Microsoft Windows 98,
Windows Millennium and Windows 2000.

(A) Installing the NDIS5 Miniport driver on Microsoft Windows 2000

(1)Start your computer if you haven't already done so, and boot
Windows 2000. Log if you are asked to.
(2)Windows will display the 'Found New Hardware Wizard' box,
Click Next.
(3)The 'Install Hardware Device Drivers' dialog box will appear.
When 'Ethernet Controller' is displayed, select 'Search for a
suitable driver for your device (Recommended)'. Click Next.
(4)The 'Locate Driver Files' diaglog box will appear. Select
'Specify a location'. Click Next.
(5)When the 'Found New Hardware Wizard' box appears, insert the
Siemens SpeedStream PCI 10/100 driver disk into your floppy drive.
In the 'Copy manufacturer's files from' field, type 'X:\Win2000'
(where 'X' is the drive letter asisgned to your floppy drive).
Click OK.
(6)The 'Driver File Search Results' dialog box will appear.
Click Next.
(7)The 'Completing the Found New Hardware Wizard' dialog box will
appear. The following adapter name will be shown:
Siemens SpeedStream PCI 10/100. Click Finish.
(8)Remove the driver disk from the floppy drive.
(B) Configuring the NDIS5 Miniport driver on Microsoft Windows 2000

(1) Click the "My Computer" icon in the Main Program Group.
(2) Click the "Control Panel" icon in the My Computer window.
(3) Click the "Network" icon in the Control Panel window.
(4) Select the "Siemens SpeedStream PCI 10/100"
item from the "Network" dialog box, then click the "Properties"
button.
(5) Click the "Advanced" button in the "Siemens SpeedStream PCI 10/100
Properties" dialog box.
(6) Select the Line Speed value (Auto,100full,100half,10full,10half)
for the "Value" item, then click the OK button in the "Siemens
SpeedStream PCI 10/100 Properties" dialog box.
(7) Click the OK button in the "Network" dialog box.

If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
