RELEASE NOTES FOR AMD SATA RAID RAIDXpert Windows Utility for SB8xx
--------------------------------------------------------------------


INTRODUCTION

This document provides information about the current and previous updates to the Windows Utility package.

Note: RAIDXpert version 3.3.1540.7 (and later) required RAID Option ROM version 3.3.1540.11 (and Later)
and Windows Driver version 3.3.1540.13 (and later).

Version: 3.3.1540.12
- Fixed: Use 4K drive do rebuild and run R/W/C,system is hang.

Version: 3.3.1540.11
- Fixed: 4K HDD can select different sector size by RAIDXpert.
- Fixed: Create JBOD(x4),sector size is wrong.
- Fixed: JBOD has created by extent and no "sector size" parameter. 

Version: 3.3.1540.10
- Add sector size item while create LD. 
- Add sector size on PD info. 
- Add sector size / stripe size on LD info. 
- AMD HP need RAIDXpert silent mode support repair Function.
- Fixed: Can`t create JBOD in the raiudxpert.

- RAIDXpert shows unknown event on both RAID and AHCI

- Can`t create JBOD in the raiudxpert. 
- When the array status is critical, buzzer will sound. But the array
		delect, buzzer sounds did not stop. 
- Can link to website,but Raidxpert IP address is 127.0.0.1. 
- After uninstallating RAIDXpert, still can see the data in /opt/AMD/RAIDXpert.


Version 3.3.1540.7
- Support 256KB stripe size.
- Fix buzzer doesn't sound when LD is critical or offline.
- Sync first setting of init rate in RAIDXpert to driver.

Version: 3.2.1540.17
- Fix HDD status still show free drive when delete the array by RAIDXpert.
- Fix RAIDXpert data still exist even after user uninstall RAIDXpert 3.2.1540.15.

Version: 3.2.1540.15
- Change RAIDXpert restore values corresponds to driver.
- The default of read/write policy chages to read ahead/write back at create LD.
- Support Controller setting Event, PD Setting Event, Change LD name Event, Read/write Policy Event.

- Add English Help.
- Modify Copyright Information.
- Fixed issue with Assigned name of LD did not get change.
- LogicalDrive name follows logical drive number.

Version: 3.2.1540.10
- Fixed cannot access RAIDXpert website after overnight idle in OS.
- Fixed RAIDXpert show 1.5G speed for 6G speed drive.
- Icon of RAIDXpert is not DPI scalable in Programs and features.
- Fixed incorrect message in event log when unplug RAID-Ready or free disk.

Version: 3.2.1540.7
- Fixed silent uninstall.
  Command option for silent install/un-install: 
      Install : RAIDXpert.exe /s
      Unistall : RAIDXpert.exe /x /s

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
